Sienna was sort of surprised by the first years 'demand'. The girl had some nerve trying to challege Sienna's authority. Figuring the girl just didn't know any better, Sienna thought she'd go easy on her. If there was one class this was going to work out in with out getting detention, it would be this one.
"Nah, I really don't feel like it."

Katrina looked at Sienna. She was really going to be this difficult? Sighing, she reached around and shoved her feet off.
"I didn't ask if you felt like it."
And with that she returned to facing the front of the room. Great, her first class of her first year and it looked like she just made an enemy.

Her feet fell to the floor with a soft thud. Sienna just rolled her eyes, putting her feet back up with extra intensity. No first year Gryffindor was going to tell her what to do. Sienna glanced back at Christian, making sure he was watching.

"Ha! Better watch out Katrina. Sienna is a pretty venomous snake."
Taking a seat next to Katrina, Anthony hoped she would take his advice and end it. The girl was tough but it was going to be a long year for her if she got on Sienna's bad side. He wouldn't listen to his own advice though. He was going to defend the first year from Sienna's bad side. There was nothing Sienna could do that would ruin his year let alone his day.

Rowena arrived at the classroom just in time to hear Anthony's comment to Katrina. She sighed. Those Slytherins were always such troublemakers. It was near impossible to keep them in line. Sienna and Christian made being a Head Girl nearly a full time job. She turned to Sienna right before she slid into a seat on the other side of Katrina.
"Watch it, Sienna or I'll start deducting House Points!"

Araloue’s face lit up when she entered the charms room. The teacher was noticeably more cheerful than some of the other professors she’d encountered. It was when she spotted the little kitten that her grin widened, yes she had decided this teacher would be really interesting. Walking along one of the far rows she watched the Slytherin test the first year. Giving an incredulous look towards the her she decided she was tired of her displaying her own importance.
“Do you always pick on those younger than you or are you just showing off? That is what you do isn’t it?“ She the her a challenging smirk, daring her to say something “Just show off?” Then she flashed the Gryffindor an apologetic look.

Katrina rolled her eyes. If anyone thought that she was going to let some spoiled little witch try to make her life miserable, then they thought wrong.
"Thanks for the warning but where I come from, we know all about venomous snakes. And how to take care of them."
She turned to face Sienna.
"See one time, I was hiking with a friend in the canyons and it was really hot day. Well, we get to this little crevace like area and it was in the shade so we were going to sit and cool down a bit. But there was this snake lying there in the shade, he got the same idea we had to cool down. Well, this wasn't any sort of snake. It was a rattler. And probably a good six feet long. And very poisonous. Well, it was a bad situation as you can imagine. But you got to act quick because one bite and it's all over. So my friend, he just reached down, without thinking, and grabbed the creature around it's neck and pulled up. SNAP! Just like that, broke it's neck."
Katrina reached up and knocked off Sienna's feet again.
"So what I'm saying is, it's best you don't start anything with me. Understand?"

Sienna raised an eyebrow as the little first year went on a tirade telling some story about a snake. It took every ounce of strength for her not to burst out laughing. What a ridiculous way to kill a snake. It was so complicated that it had to be muggle. When the girl finished off with a threat, Sienna lost it.
She sputtered out the laughter she was holding in. She held her hand over her mouth as her laugh continued spilling out. Finally after several long seconds, Sienna quieted, whipping the tears that came with the laughter. A mischievous smile crept on her lips.
"Oh don't worry, I know how to kill a snake to. Even one that isn't venomous at all."
With that, Sienna pulled out her wand and held it up close to her face. She smirked and leaned forward.
"Sweetie, I'm a lot more venomous that a little rattlesnake."

The girl was actually laughing at her. Katrina couldn't believe it. She had never met someone that she had so quickly disliked as she did this girl. It took everything she had to not immediately attempt to knock that little irritating smirk off her face. And it took even more control after Sienna pulled her wand out. But outmatched though she may be, Katrina was not one to back down from a fight...even if it meant losing spectacularly.
Katrina pulled out her wand and pointed it at Sienna.
"I'm not really sure how to use this yet but I'm sure if I wave it around enough I can get something out of it and if that doesn't work I have no problems shoving it up your nose. So I suggest you get that thing out of my face."
Katrina turned around to face the front of the room. It looked like class was about to begin and now she really couldn't wait to begin learning magic.

Lara gazed off as her students entered and talked about whatever they wanted. She barely even heard what was going on between Sienna and Katrina. Still she let them continue. No spells were being thrown and this sort of thing was a part of Hogwarts. When it came for class to begin, Lara stood up, clearing her throat.
"Sienna, Katrina, may I start class now?"
Lara's voice seemed calm but still there was a hint of authority. The question was very rhetorical. Lara scanned around the room again making sure all was calm.
"Now as you can see on the board, each of you are going to learn a new spell today. I don't want anyone coming up to me asking me what their spell does. So I hope everyone has done their reading."
She pulled out her wand and flicking it in a few short movements, several items appeared in different sections of the room. Each had the students year labeled above the items.
"I want all of you to break up into your years and go to that designated spot. In that spot you will find what you need for the spell you will be casting. You may begin but you may not leave until I've seen that you have casted the spell correctly."
(1st-3rd years will not cast their spell 100% accurately on their first try. However, on their second, they can. No god-moding, please!)
