The prospect of broad new minds entering her classroom always thrilled Renée. Astronomy throughout her past had been her favored subject. The idea of a never-ending universe, even as abstract as it sounded, always just appealed to her.
Tonight the navy blue blanket that covered the earth was glittering in all the right places. She couldn’t have asked for a better night to teach. Each of the charming old-fashioned telescopes had been put in their proper place with an ease only acquired from years of practice, all perfectly positioned so he or she could see all of the beautifully dark sky.
Renée eagerly awaited the arrival of her new students, dressed in one of the many vintage lace dresses she owned. A baby marmoset clung securely to her cupped hands contently swaying its little body from side to side. Professor Cyrene? It sounded like a beautiful melody to her.

Rowena was certain that she was running late. So she was simply stunned when she entered the classroom and realized that she was the first to arrive. She grinned. She wasn't late at all. Still grinning, she took a seat. While Astronomy wasn't her favorite subject, it was at least interesting.

Julien rushed in to the class. The agonizing feeling that he was going to be late lifted as he noticed there was only one other girl there. He took a seat and waited for more people to show up.
