The door for Defense Against the Dark Arts was wide open early in the morning. The room was filled with a slight leather sent, a smell related to the numerous travels Archer had taken. The room was dark, only lit by the several candles lit all through out the room. The board on the side had scribbles that made out to say: There will be no misbehaving from when the student enters the door until he or she leaves! Years 5-7 5th - Bombarda, Confundo 6th - Punctum alica, Confringo 7th - Serpensortia, Defodio
Archer sat in his desk at the back of the room. He learned long ago that he could keep a better eye on students from behind them. He has set out the materials that each of the spells would need to work correctly. He set his head down on his crossed arms on the desk. If the students felt the need to come as late as possible, he might as well get some sleep while he waited. (Class will be open for posting on 02/08/12)

Christian grinned when he read the board in his Defense Against the Dark Arts class. He was pretty certain that confringo meant fire. How cool was that? He took his seat as he waited for more students to arrive.
He hoped Sienna would show up. He would certainly love to practice on her.

Stepping into the room, Sienna smiled at the professor innocently. He would know well enough that having a class with both Christian and Sienna was going to be trouble. She might as well act like she has changed over the summer so she could sit by him.
"How's it going?"
She said with a dangerous smile. She saw the board and already knew what he was thinking. Luckily for her, confundo was something she was going to be practicing.

Anthony followed not far behind Sienna. Just his luck he would be stuck in a room with two Slytherins that did more harm to each other then to everyone else. He took a seat a few to the side from Christian. He glanced over at the two.

Rowena's heart fell when she first entered the room and saw only Christian and Sienna. There was no way that she wanted to be stuck in a class with only them. But then she spotted Anthony. Oh, thank goodness, she thought as she went to sit by him. Not only would she have somebody to partner up with if they did partner-work, but she wouldn't be the only non-Slytherin.
"Thank goodness you're in this class. I'd hate to get stuck in the middle of those two." She gestured to Sienna and Christian.

Defense Against the Dark Arts was not Mae’s favorite subject she was a very passive creature by nature. Something about the room though, be it the smell that lingered in the air or just the strange gleam the candles gave made her more a little more apt to come to class. Not that she would ever skip it, she couldn’t bring herself to do such a thing! But she wasn’t as apposed to the idea of being in here like she was before. Like always she was silent though a warm smile was present upon her features, ready to learn but taking a seat away from the hustle and bustle of everyone else.

Archer lifted his head suddenly as if from a nightmare. He blinked several times to focus his vision before standing up. He spotted out Christian and Sienna right away but neither seemed to be up to no good yet. He walked to the front of the room where all the dummies were.
"Welcome back to Defense Against the Dark Arts. As you can see on the board, we are learning spells and casting them. If you did your reading you will know what the spells that you will be casting are."
He motioned to the first dummy on his left. All the dummies were lined up in a row.
"The fifth years will use this dummy to practice bombarda and confundo. The sixth years this one, and so on. You will know if your spell was sucessful. If it is not, the dummy will not react at all. You may begin."
(No god-moding. After they were successful with first spell, have them move on to the next.)

As soon as the professor said that they may begin, Christian looked at Sienna then at the professor then back to Sienna. He was tempted to practice his spell on her instead of the dummy. In fact he might be able to get away with it. Perhaps if he positioned himself slightly behind and to the side of her he might be able to clip her with his spell.
Christian already had his wand out and pointed slightly in her direction when he changed his mind. He wasn't very familiar with Professor Strele so he wasn't sure yet how much he could get away with.
Sighing, he took his spot in front of his dummy. Not really paying attention he flicked his wand in the direction of his dummy.
"Punctum alica."
Nothing happened as the spell narrowly missed.

Smiling at Rowena, Anthony looked at Sienna and Christian. Those two were always at it.
"No kidding. I'd hate to see what it is like in the Slytherin common room when no professors are around."
Anthony listened to the professor as he gave instructions. The spells he had to cast seemed easy enough. He had never cast them before though so he didn't expect to on the first try. As he followed Christian up, he took a place in front of a dummy and raised his wand.
"Punctum Alica"
He tensed up as the spell reached the dummy, causing it to turn bright red. He sighed and relaxed, as a big smile came on his face. He actually cast the spell on his first try.

"That was an absolute fail, Christian,"
Sienna laughed as she stood up and faced the dummy next to Christian's. The spell was easy enough. Bombarda blasted open doors. However, this was a dummy. Unsure how it would affect it, she lifted her wand and muttered the word.
"Bombarda!"
In a split second, the dummy went flying back and fell over. Sienna grinned and put her wand away. She knew she was suppose to work on the next one but she waited to see what Christian would do.
