Defense Against the Dark Arts

DESCRIPTION
Students will learn about the defensive arts that will prove most useful against the use of dark arts.
ORGANIZATION
There will be dueling labs and class discussions. Students may request private instruction for casting of Patronus charms if they are 5th year and higher. Anyone may request further instruction outside of class to hon their dueling skills.
RULES
Breaking of any of these rules will result in the deduction of house points and/or detention.
1. Students will be in uniform
2. Tardiness will not be tolerated
3. Homework is required. If homework is not turned in, no points will be deducted but it will affect the student’s grade.
4. There will be no misbehaving from when the student enters the door until he or she leaves.

Practice with Dummies
1st - Petrificus Totalus, Incendio
2nd - Homemun Revelio, Tarantallegra
3rd - Ascendio, Reducio
4th - Protego, Stupefy
Years 5-7
5th - Bombarda, Confundo
6th - Punctum alica, Confringo
7th - Serpensortia, Defodio
Note: All items listed may not be covered if there is not enough time.
