May always eagerly looked forward to the start of a school year. She loved seeing new groups of students come through. Teaching was simply fun. She had arrived in her dungeon classroom early to set everything up. She had planned on having an exciting and fun first class. Potions always seemed to have gained a bit of a bad reputation. She intended to change that. Just because the class was held in the dungeons, it did not mean that the class couldn't be fun. May had the room already set up. A large blackboard had the following written upon it: Beautifying PotionA list of ingredients and instructions followed the title. On each desk, a large warty toad sat. May, herself, was dressed in her typical quirky bright clothes. She took a seat at her desk as she eagerly waited for the first students to arrive. (The class officially opens for posting on February 8th)

Rushing in through the doorway, Ailey let out a huge sigh. She hated walking in the dungeon. It reminded her of her grandfather's basement where she would see bugs and small rodents everywhere. Putting the past behind her, Ailey's usual smile crept on her face as she read the board.
"Beautifying potion?!"
She said out loud but said it to herself and not the professor. Ailey liked how she looked but she couldn't help wondering.

Alex arrived early to his Potions class and slid into a seat next to Ailey. He looked up at the board and frowned.
"Beautifying potion? That's for girls!" He whispered to Ailey. "I bet you'll be really good at this."

Katrina arrived at Potions and groaned when she read the board. Beautifying? Could this class possibly be more pointless? She had hoped that they would be learning more about poisons and cool stuff. Not beautifying.
Sighing, she slid into a seat next to Alex. She already didn't like the class.

Sienna grumbled as she entered the room. Where was all the older students. Was Christian really going to miss out on a potions class? Then she spotted the board.
"Professor? What if some of us don't need beautifying?"
There was no one in the room Sienna was referring to but herself.

Christian was actually right behind Sienna as she entered the classroom. Giving her a playful shove, he came up behind and slid into the seat that she was about to take.
"Don't worry, Sienna. I'll be more than willing to help you out."

Julien laughed at the remark of Christian, only hoping that Sienna's would be better. He loved fights like that. He sat by Ailey and the rest, avoiding sitting by the Slytherins. While they were fun to listen to, he wouldn't be caught in the middle if it lead to spells being thrown around.

Cosette entered the Potions classroom and grinned when she read the board. Beautifying? Potions did seem to lose its fearsome reputation once Professor Tunnelly started teaching it. Regardless, Cosette loved the class though that may have more to do with the fact that the professor was the head of her House.
She took a seat next to Ailey. Turning to her, "This should be fun."

Not even worrying who to sit by, Anthony took a seat by himself. He wasn't the type to sit next to his friends and talk the entire class. While he was friends with some of the people, he didn't like distractions. He never did well when he sat by them.

Rowena entered the classroom and took a seat near Anthony. She wasn't usually very sociable in her classes. To her they were a time for studying and learning and nothing else. But she did know that Sienna and Christian were in that class. And that spelled trouble. She could only imagine what sort of mayhem they would cause if they actually got along. By taking a seat near Anthony, she had hoped to avoid any conflict. And while the Professor was nice, Rowena didn't count on her being able to keep the class under control.
Rowena pulled out a notebook and began writing down the ingredients and instructions for the potion. It looked like it might be a bit tricky. She was going to need to concentrate.
