Brief History of School Experience: Elliott was always well-liked in school. He received good marks, he even announced at the Quidditch games for one year at Hogwarts. His fourth year at Hogwarts, he began dating Cora Hays, a Ravenclaw who had a knack for getting in trouble. There relationship grew more and more each year. They were perfect matches for each other. Elliott kept Cora grounded. And Cora managed to help Elliott find a way into detention on more than one occasion (occasions that he never regretted).
As Voldemort slowly regained power, Elliott watched from the sidelines. Cora was always a bit more vocal about wishing she could join in. On more than one occasion Elliott secretly felt as though they were in the wrong Houses. He should have been in Ravenclaw where Cora clearly belonged in Gryffindor. As the years went on, these talks began to turn into arguments. With the way rumors traveled through Hogwarts, they knew that there was a group of students fighting Voldemort. Cora wanted to join in and Elliott wouldn't let her.
During their seventh year, things seemed to hit the breaking point and went into open warfare. Elliott knew that if Cora wanted to join in, then there wasn't much he could do to keep her from it. He also knew that there was no one else he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. He saved up and bought a ring. His plans were to propose on the last day of school.
Harry Potter returned to Hogwarts on May 2, to find the last horcrux. And Voldemort was close behind him. The seventh year students were given a choice of fleeing or staying to help fight. Cora decided to stay. Elliott wanted to flee, but more than that he wanted to protect Cora. So he stayed as well to fight.
In the middle of the fight, they were separated. Elliott was concerned but he also knew that Cora was a smart witch and that she was capable of fighting the best of them.
It wasn't until after it was over, that Elliott found her body.
