Fiddling with her hair, Lara crossed her legs. Since it was the time of the year were the weather was strange, Lara's clothes was more of a jacket with shorts. She picked up her wand and waved it towards the window, opening the curtains and letting the light in. She also flicked it towards the door, opening it wide. On the board she had written with eloquent writing. 1st = Nox! 2nd = Pluma pondus! 3rd = Lumos Maxima! 4th = Cultivate Abeo! 5th = Engorgio! 6th = Episkey! 7th = Ebullio!Lara was excited for the classes to start again. Once the students piled in she would begin class. Off to the side was all the equipment needed for their spells. Her kitten sat on the window seal, looking out the window.

Christian was first to class? That was not a very common thing. But still, it wasn't worth it to leave and come back later. He had spent the past six years cementing his reputation as a Slytherin at Hogwarts, that being first to one class shouldn't affect it much. Besides, Charms was his best subject.
Nodding a greeting to the Professor, Christian took a seat near the back of the room. Episkey? He grinned. That could come in useful!

Rowena entered the Charms classroom and chose a seat as far from Christian as possible. Charms was a very important subject, perhaps second only to Transfiguration. She needed to focus as much as possible and people like Christian were nothing more than noisy distractions.
Shooting him a dirty look, Rowena pulled out her notebook and wrote down the spell she was going to be learning. Opening her Charms book, she flipped to the appropriate page and began reading.

Jie happily bounded into the room. He was having a fantastic day. He slept in late. He was entirely caught up on his homework. He didn't exactly do all of his homework but it was all done nonetheless. And now he had a fun class where he would actually get to wave his wand around and all that.
Taking a moment to look up at the board, Jie chose a seat. He pulled out his wand and gave it a quick wave to warm it up.

Katrina followed Jie into the classroom. She had followed him closely for at least two hallways, kicking the back of his heels as much as she could. But now that they were in the classroom, she ignored him and took a seat away from him. Katrina knew that she was pushing her luck by baiting a Slytherin. But so long as he was also a first year, he wouldn't know any magic that she didn't. And if it really came down to it, she could probably beat him with Muggle fighting.
Katrina looked up at the board. Nox. She had absolutely no idea what nox was but she could not wait to learn it.

Not in the best of mood, Sienna was going to do anything to make everyone else just as miserable. As she walked in, she smiled softly to the professor before walking through the rows of desks. As she passed Katrina, she pushed off one of the books on her desk to the ground. Sienna sat down in a seat by Christian.

Benjamin hesitated in the doorway. Why did Sienna always seem to stick by Christian? He had heard rumors that there was something going on between them but he had never seen them do anything except argue. Last year they even got in trouble for Muggle fighting. Benjamin didn't believe the rumors. Maybe they were related? He didn't know.
He started towards Sienna but changed his mind at last minute. He didn't feel much like dealing with Christian today. Giving Sienna a smile, he went and sat down next to Rowena.

Cosette was momentarily stunned as she walked into the Charms classroom. Everyone was behaving themselves! It was odd. Usually in a class as laid back as this, there was always some sort of fight or argument happening.
She shrugged as took a seat. She was sure that something interesting would happen soon.

Beaming with his usual smile, Julien stepped into the classroom. He side swept a few desks and sat down by one next to Cosette. Charms was always a fun class. It was nice not to be in some dreary classroom for once. He took out his book and looked at the spells he was going to learn.

Alex grinned when he saw the board. He was finally going to get to learn the Featherweight charm. And it's about time, he thought as he lugged his heavy bag over to a seat. If he could master that charm then the rest of the year would be so much easier. Or at least he may be able to prevent some back problems later down the road. Of course most other students probably didn't carry every school book with them wherever they went. Alex did because he never knew when he would have free time to study. And he needed every one of them because he never knew just what subject he was going to feel like studying at any given time. And, of course, some days it was a complete waste as he didn't do anything at all.
Grinning, Alex pulled out his Charms book. He had a few moments before class began so he intended to familiarize himself with the charm that he was going to be learning to use.
